Answers to the most common questions about outdoor pet photography sessions
What if my pet is very active and does not sit still?
That is completely normal. Most pets do not need to sit perfectly still for beautiful photographs.
Some of the most memorable images happen when a dog runs, plays, explores, or simply reacts naturally to the world around them.
Every session is relaxed, flexible, and adapted to your pet’s personality.
Can we photograph my pet on a leash?
Yes, absolutely. Safety always comes first.
If your dog needs to stay on a leash, we will photograph with a leash.
In many final images, the leash can be carefully removed during editing while keeping the photograph natural and authentic.
What happens if it rains?
If the weather is not suitable for a comfortable outdoor session, we can simply reschedule.
Soft clouds often create beautiful light for photography, but heavy rain, strong winds, or unsafe
conditions are a good reason to choose another date.
How should I prepare my pet?
Please bring your pet’s favorite treats, a toy, water, and a comfortable leash or harness.
It is also helpful not to feed your pet too heavily immediately before the session, so treats remain motivating during the photoshoot.
How long does it take to receive the photos?
The delivery time depends on the elected package and the current editing schedule.
I will always confirm the estimated delivery date before or shortly after the session.
Can my photographs become a Visual Story?
Yes. Some sessions may grow beyond a collection of individual photographs and become a Visual Story.
When the images begin to form a natural narrative, they can be shaped into an author's edition — bringing together photographs, atmosphere, silence, and carefully chosen words.
A story may later live in the Makklyu Art Library or take the form of a beautifully crafted book.
Do I need to decide on a Visual Story before the session?
No. Every session begins with photography and with getting to know your animal.
Sometimes a story reveals itself while we work — through character, movement, connection, or a sequence of moments that naturally belong together.
We can decide what form those photographs should take afterwards.
